Christian Concepts in Real Life.

Prayer Changes Things
I came across a post the other day that reminded me of the scripture Matthew 7:11, which says, “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” As I began to meditate on the scripture, I began to think about my earthly parents and the gifts they have given over the years. Afterwards, I began to see how God has answered my prayers throughout the years and how much better His gifts are. Regardless of your relationship with your earthly parents, we all have the same spiritual one and He wants to bless you more abundantly.

You are an influencer
When I first started to get serious about my walk with Christ, I became obsessed with discovering my purpose in life. A little while later, during one of my Bible studies, I came across a commentary in my Bible that said our purpose is to live for God. Mind BLOWN. It was the simplest concept, but it connected with me on a deeper level. Our jobs aren’t just what we do in this natural world; our first and most important job is to be an ambassador or an influencer for Christ.

Looking For [Fun] in All The Wrong Places
Depending on the response, nostalgia can be a welcoming feeling or it can be a trap from the enemy. In my case, it was a trap. Thinking about what my life could have been like if I would’ve made different choices caused me to become discontent in the life that God blessed me with. One day, God revealed to me that I was too busy looking back on a life not meant for me instead of looking forward to the one God had for me.

A Customized love
I have always been a fan of high-school and college sweetheart love stories, especially since I am a product of one. However, as the years progressed and no relationship in sight, my belief in love dwindled. As the Lord has been rekindling my enjoyment in watching and reading content about romance, I notice that I become wistful about situations I wished to happen but never did. God made me realize it was because I didn’t trust that He would bless me with a love better than I imagined.

There’s a Blessing in God’s Selfishness
For years, it seemed like everyone was in a relationship but me. I once heard that if one was single, God was being selfish with you. Well, I was tired of God’s selfishness. I wanted a boyfriend and I wanted him THEN! Years later, I discovered the true blessing in God’s selfishness.

All I Need Is You
The world tells us that we need money, cars, jewelry and loads of other material possessions, but as I get closer to God, I discover that all I or we really need is Him.

6 Key Strategies for a Successful Year
Before the year 2024 started, God gave me 6 key strategies we needed to have a successful year. God’s Word tells us He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Therefore, we should live in that promise and believe that God will support our purpose.

I Want to be like Cinderella
Growing up, I sung from my diaphragm Cheetah Girls’ “Cinderella.” However, when I was older, I was singing a different tune. I did WANT to be like Cinderella. I wanted a man to come and save me. It took a decade later to discover I did have a Savior and His name was Jesus.

Don’t Be Scared of the Quiet
For years, I didn't like being alone. I filled the emptiness with phone call with friends, hanging out with friends, cramming my head in a book or binging television shows and movies that didn’t bring up the memories I was running from. However, it was one night God made me face the quietness, which ultimately lead to my healing. I encourage you to embrace the quiet and discover what God is trying to show you.

God Got Your Back
The trials and tribulations we face on an everyday basis can sometimes weigh us down to the point we forget that God has our backs. Through this dream, I hope it encourages you and reminds you that God really has our backs, no matter how menacing the situation may be.

The time is now
We all have dreams and aspirations. God has given each of us gifts and talents. However, sometimes, due to negativity the enemy sends our way, it’s hard to have faith and believe in the gifts and dreams God has given us. This blog post serves as encouragement to be all the God has called you to be.

Have Faith for Yourself
Faith is a funny thing. It’s easy to have faith that a dream will come true for others. It’s easy to tell someone to walk by faith. However, when the situation turns around to you, you begin to understand that it’s a little scary, unnerving and difficult. Here’s my encouragement to you and to me: have faith for yourself.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun
Having a “ho phase” is coveted in today’s age. But is that phase as fun as we think it is? From personal experience and observations, we covet this phase to hide from a deeper rooted issue that can only be fixed with God. Plant yourself in Him and watch how that joy and happiness you’re looking for radiates from you when you give your life to Christ.

I planned; God protected.
There’s a saying that says, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Due to the countless times my life has gone the complete opposite of my plans, I’m sure that God has doubled over in laughter. In analyzing my various failed life plans, I discovered that I battle with the spirit of control. I learned that God has already set our course for us, but it’s up to us to follow it. Life is a lot easier when God leads and we follow.

What IF
Oftentimes, we beat ourselves up for mistakes or wrong decisions we made, which leads us going down a rabbit hole of questions of “what ifs?” These questions can cause depression, hopelessness, sadness and a slew of other negative emotions. I’m here to encourage you that God already included your mistakes into His plan. You are exactly where God wants you to be. Just keep trusting and leaning on Him.

Don’t Go Back to Egypt
I repeatedly get mad after reading about the Israelites. They were ungrateful and never satisfied. My view of them changed when I realized that I am just like them. I pray for relief and other blessings, but once I receive them, I’m complaining. Don’t cry about Egypt. Instead, enjoy what God has bless you with.

I Got 5 On It
The Bible says, “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of you heart will also be” (Matthew 6:21, NLT). Paying tithes demonstrates where one’s heart is. It answers the question: “Will you give God your best and your first or will you give Him your last scrap?” Moreover, tithing is a way of worshipping God.

Who You’re Around
Have you ever prayed and prayed for a blessing and it seemed like it would never happen? As I reflected over my life, I realized that some of the biggest blessings I received didn't come until my circle changed. Who you’re around matters and sometimes, it is what is keeping you from your blessing.

RelAx Your Feet
The world is always telling us to go, go, go. It says we aren’t grinding enough and we aren’t hustling enough. The world says we should be farther along than we are. Therefore, we push and push until we are so tired that we feel guilty or don’t feel justified to rest. I’m here to tell you that even God rested; therefore, we should too.

Guard Your Heart
God has been dealing with me on the type of content I like to indulge in. As long as I can remember, I have been a fan of content that includes magic, witches, werewolves and other fantasy content. However, God has been convicting me about ingesting this content because it goes against His Word. Therefore, I am repenting and denouncing my attachment with such content.
