My name is Kayla, and I am a born-again Christian. I was raised with knowing who God is. At 6 months, I was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and had to have surgery on my stomach and my head. I was taught to look at the scars from the surgery as proof that God is with me and that miracles can happen. After my family settled to Alabama at the age of 9, my family and I began going to church frequently. I was baptized shortly thereafter. However, as I grew older and went to college, my relationship with the Lord declined and life started life’n. I became depressed and possessed low self-esteem and self-worth. The plan that I had for my life in college was completely altered and I did not handle it well. Many failed relationships and situationships later, I began watching sermon series online and going to church more often. I was transferred due to a job promotion to Atmore, AL where my relationship with God truly grew. The closer I get to God and the deeper I get into my faith, the more I learn about myself and my life.
I love to help people and if the lessons I have learned and am learning can help ANYBODY else, then please use my experiences to save yourself heartache, stress and other traumas. Additionally, the Lord has been speaking to me about being vulnerable and open, so what better way to do that than to write and share a blog that is basically like a personal spiritual diary. Therefore, in this blog, my mission is to be open, honest and transparent about the situations I have encountered in my life. This may be a bumpy ride. It may very well be a long one as well. However, I want to thank everyone in advance for reading and sharing. I pray that this blog touches and helps someone.
GOD BLESS!
