God Got Your Back

A few months ago, I had the following dream:

I was a passenger to this new land. The sky was filled with the soft blanket of clouds and the sun’s rays peaked out in various areas. I decided to settle at a table that was near this opening that appeared to be the opening of a cave. As I got settled, I saw this eerier looking man with three dogs – one rottweiler, one pitbull and the other was anonymous. Instantly, I knew that the dogs and the man were evil and vicious. My first thought was to not show fear because the dogs would be able to sense it. As if on cue, the dogs started barking and jerking against their chains toward me. I moved from the side of the table to the head so I could face the attack head-on. I looked to my left and saw a random dog barking on my behalf. I turned back to the predators and the man was leading his dogs into the cave as the dogs were leaping to pounce on the lone dog. Suddenly, I looked to my left again and I saw a herd of dogs of all different sizes and kinds coming to the defense of the lone dog and me. I turned around and saw what at first I believed was a Great Dane, but later realized was an elephant. I thought “oh if those dogs try to fight now, there’s no way they will win. That elephant will stomp them.” I turned back to the predators to see them retreat from the cave.

Then I woke up.

I thought it was sweet that the animals came to protect me. I later discovered that an elephant in a dream represents God. I realized the dogs barking on my behalf represented an army of angels. That dream was proof that God has my back and I’m here to remind you that God has yours too. If you don’t believe me, read 2 Kings 6:8-22. Furthermore, Psalms 18:2 (NIV) says: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

I’m here to encourage you that no matter what trial or tribulation you may face on today, God will send an army on your behalf! In my dream, I didn’t have to do anything but move to where God could handle my battle and He will do the same for you.
